BC EuroCreditBank S.A. announces the transformation of the Visa Virtuon card into a fully digital version. Starting from April 27, 2026, customers will be able to opt for the new Visa Virtuon Digital, available directly in the ECBank application and intended exclusively for online payments.

This update reflects the Bank’s strategic direction of simplifying its product portfolio and developing modern banking solutions tailored to current payment behavior.

Transition to the new version

Visa Virtuon cards issued before April 27, 2026 will be gradually withdrawn from the portfolio. Cardholders will have the possibility to reissue their card in the new format quickly and easily, directly from the ECBank application, without visiting a branch.

Dedicated facility for customers during the transition period

To support this update stage, during April 27 – June 30, 2026, the Bank will apply a service facility for the card as follows:

• Existing Visa Virtuon holders who request reissuance to the new version will benefit from a 100% discount on the monthly servicing fee for a period of 12 months, calculated from the date of reissuance.

• The same discount will apply to customers who request the issuance of a Visa Virtuon Digital card within the mentioned period.
